I was wondering on various cars, normally you see flames that are created by computers and then stuck on the car. I was wondering if you would be able to stick any image on a stick like substance and put it on your car? What would the cleaning involve? Is it going to be effected by Car Washes, Weather etc?
Whats the process for all of this? I am not a car person so I know very little about the extra stuff that peopl enormally use.
The best custom graphics on cars are airbrushed on using stickon stencils (which are peeled off after each layer is done. These are sprayed on in order and then usually sealed with a topcote to protect them.
Also my advice would be to not put Sakura on your damn car I'm fairly certain it will look fucking retarded.

I guess that's more of my opinion than advice.
A more non-judgemental angle, putting Sakura on your car would A) cost a freaking fortune and make your car a target for vandalism.
Can't I use a printer and print it to some stickback paper like a sticker?
Edit:
As for vandelism, is usually park inside parking lots with security. There are a couple of spots like that in Toronto so when I go shopping I usually park there. It is usually high than normal parking lots, but I would pay for the security.
No, any sticker you use will just wash off in the rain. There are vinyl graphics that stick on, and I suppose you could get a company to custom make you one, but it'll be expensive.
Vinyls are what your average car enthusiast puts on (flames or whatever) because they're cheaper than having it painted and they come off when you grow out of the phase. Here are a couple of links:
A friend of mine did this, though his image was simpler*. It's been pretty hardwearing, and it's even survived a couple of mechanical car washes. Since your image uses multiple colours, your first option would be to get pieces of plain-coloured vinyl cut for each flat area of colour in that image(relatively easy and cheap), then very carefully applied (either very difficult or extremely expensive, depending on the experience of the person applying it. Using this method, that image is probably pushing the limits of feasibility). Or, you could get the image printed on adhesive vinyl (expensive), cut (relatively cheap), and applied (tricky, but shouldn't be too expensive).
One thing to bear in mind is that you will almost certainly not be able to remove the vinyl without destroying it. It will attract attention, certainly, but I'm not sure what kind. The nature of the image my friend had applied means that he gets pulled by the cops more often than average, I'm not sure what kind of attention random anime chick will attract.
You could get it applied to big flat magnets that are sometimes used for this kind of stuff, which would make it easily removable when you park it or just aren't in the mood, but that would be yet more expense and I think there are size limits involved.
*A supplier his employer uses got a new laser vinyl cutting rig, and the guy that runs it wanted to test it out. He did this by cutting out and applying a stencil of a joint-smoking skull wearing an eye patch to the bonnet of my friend's car.
How are vinyl graphics stickers? Good or Bad? And are they easy to get ahold of or do I have to go searching for them?
You would have to have it custom made.
Its not that expensive. For something smaller like a drivers side door, that sticker would probably cost like, 50 or 60 bucks on vinyl. To cover the entire hood, probably 200-300. Thats assuming they did it the cheap way, with one of those vinyl printers, and not an individual layer for each color, set on by hand. If they went that way, which would look better for photo with solid colors like that, it would probably be like 1000 dollars or so.
Also, man... what the fuck? Sakura? On your car?! I am so giving you the finger if i ever see you anywhere.

Whats the difference if its by vinyal printer compared to individual layers? I am assuming quality is a vast difference.
If it's made with individual layers, the colour comes from the vinyl itself. If you cut into it it's the same colour all the way through. If you print onto vinyl, you'll start with white vinyl and print a thin layer of ink onto it.
Generally, printed vinyl won't show strong colours as well, will be less durable, more likely to fade in the sun and will have resolution limits (like any printed image). Quality varies widely though, dependent on how good the printing equipment is. High-quality, durable printed vinyl is expensive as hell.

ash, just to add something, whatever you want to do is fine, I'm just telling you that people WILL vandalize your car for this
I don't want to sound like a jerk, but I'm going to be honest with you. If I ever see your car with Sakura on it, I'm going to vandalise it based solely on princible.
I know that Sakura sounds really badass to have on your car right now, and you may think that you'll always think it's a badass thing to have on your car, but there may just be a time when you look at your car and think "Goddamn why do I have Sakura on my car?"
Trust me. I have a 5" by 5" tatoo of a screenshot of Tetris on my left bicep that I got when I was seventeen. I have a little experience in this area.
You can put what you want on your car, but I'm going to tell you now without even needing to know what kind of car you drive that that's going to look like shit, and if it's permanent it's going to garuantee you're never able to get rid of that car. It'll be like when people put those super-triple-wings on the back of a Civic 4-door. I just think people should know before they do a car-modification that will make the car impossible to sell when they're done with it.
I am a pack rat and the car is brand new, bought so I don't think I will be changing it or selling it anytime soon. As for the future, who knows?
I will have to check on what vinyl the flea market guy uses because I don't know now. If it will last a couple of months thats fine because I would like to change the picture every 8 months or so. Make it like a rotation.
And as I said before, I pay in secure parking lots with guys who monitor it continuously. Its a executive parking lot, so I doubt vandalism will occur there. They have a contract with me anyway saying that they will monitor the cars when the car is there so its not problem for me.
EditL Just to clearify, I have a parking lot, but take the train to work. its rented out on the weekdays and on the weekends when I go down to Toronto for shopping, I use it.

it's also highly unprofessional, by the way, but seriously if you want to and actually do do it, take pictures, I wanna see

Luckly, I don't work at the company thats above the parking lot, I bought the space and rented it out. So normally, when I go on the weekend its filled with SUV's with all kinds of equipment. I believe its a highly secured area. At least vandalizing my car would come after they steal most of the gadets in the cars/SUV.

That logic doesn't really work. Stealing things out of cars isn't motivated by the same thing as vandalizing a car there's nothing to steal from. Stealing shit out of cars is for the purpose of selling it and making money. Vandalizing a car there's nothing worth stealing in is about letting the owner of that car know what you think of them.
In other words, you're looking at two different sets of people with some overlap, and the set of people who would vandalize your car is much larger than the set of people who steal car-stereos.

Pics or it didn't happen.
My digital camera is out of town right now, but I took a picture on a friend's cell phone, and she's going to e-mail it to me later on tonight. I'll post it in the morning.
Also, I'd like to see pictures of the car once it's finished. My advice would be to go for something small and cheap at first, so you can see how it works with weather and car washing, this way if it peels off or something you aren't out of a whole lot of money before you move on to the next step.
Edit: Ok homps, here it is:
The picture is bluury as fuck because it's a shitty cellphone camera, but the tatoo itself is actually really clear and detailed in person.
Just remember that it isn't finished. I was bleeding more than usual so we had to stop before some of the background could be filled in. It's been a long time since I got it (I'm 21 now), but I've never really been able to get it fixed because I've been essentially perma-broke since then. I just landed a new fancypants job that I start mid next month though, so I should be getting it finished sometime in the nexzxt few months. I want to get another one, but I think I will put a considerable amount of thought into whatever ends up being permanently drawn on my body this time.

Most quality vinyl work wont peel off through anything. My mom had the side of her truck done, it lasted a good 4 years before she sold the truck. My dad had his done about the same amount of time. Both of their new trucks also have it done. Its for their business incase anyones wondering.
I'd say the rule-of-thumb for tattoos could well be applied to this situation as well. Think about it for 6 months or a year. If you still want it after that time, go for it.

Be aware that your car will probably be vandalised at very least.
