I'm just curious...what exactly IS "Fitbit?"

its a device to track your exercise through out the day, calories burned etc. I am not sure how accurate it is would love to hear some feedback on it from people who own it. I got a bodybugg and love it but am still looking at the fitbit as well.

I don't own one, so YMMV but...As I understand it the basic tracking mechanism is a farily standard pedometer (with 3D decection rather than simple planer). The rest of it is all done in post processing as it were. Given the state of pediometers these days, where even cheap ones are fairly accurate, I imagine it's pretty accurate.
Calorie counting is fairly difficult under any circumestances to be quite honest. It's going to depend on a myriad of factors, heartrate, length of motion, intensity, starts and stops. Rough estimates are easy enough to comeby though, and for exercise that's all you need. (I used to do biochem, where "estimate" didn't cut it.)
