I was watching the Gabe Art show and I noticed that he mixes a texture into his backgrounds. It really breaks up any large blank spaces, which is a problem I have when I draw. I think the file he loaded was called "brushes.psd". I was wondering if anyone knows where I can find that texture? I've googled background textures and brush textures, but I haven't found any that look as good as the one he has.
Thanks!
I emailed Gabe about his background texture, but I haven't gotten a response yet. So I took a screenshot of the video when brushes.psd was up and tried to recreate it. Unfortunately, I don't think I used the same brush as Gabe but my attempt kinda gets the job done. If anyone wants to use it, this is what it looks like:
The full size image is around 2200 pixels wide and can be found here: http://princeofsweden.net/background.html
Also, I noticed that when Gabe uses the texture, he changes the layer type from "normal" to "overlay".

Anyways this should go under the "Questions/Tutorials" thread.
