finally! the only thing that I will have had on my steam account for longer without actually being able to play it will be Batman. And I'm going to blow up everything in my cars until batman shows up to stop me.

how'd you find that out? Seems a bit excessive. Dirt 3 came in at 11GBs and Mass Effect 2 was around 10. Their compression can't be that bad..... Can it?

It's on the min specs for Steam

That's potential uncompressed space after installation (including temp files), not actual download size. The Xbox Live version is 2 GB, so it will probably be a little over that amount.

I think I'll be able to get on tonight. Guests won't be coming tonight as previously expected, phoned and said they'll come tomorrow morning. Ofcourse, he said that once before and ended up 'surprising' us in the evening. So yeah, I'll try my best.

I just took a look at Sega's twitter and some poor guy's stuck replying to all the understandably angry tweets. How hard is it to tell us it's delayed a day or two ahead of time?

With Sega? VERY HARD. It's against company policy to be consumer-friendly :P

I'm at the point now where I might just start actively boycotting/avoiding Sega-published games. They could very well be the most tone-deaf, bass-ackwards publisher out there.

Yep. That about sums it up.

They updated the release time with under 30 minutes to go. Next time they push it back it won't be updated until its already 1 day past the release date.

Anyone getting a refund then? I'm stuck using my cell phone for the next few days so I can't request it sadly. Plus it was only £5.

I was super excited to come home and start downloading this, and right clicking it was all "view store page?" and I'm like "how 2 dunlod?," and then I realize that it's possible this was another strike of the clown brigade.

How hard is it to pick a release date? If you don't know when it'll be ready, don't set a release date. You don't extend it a day or two before deadline, and then you sure as hell don't extend it again minutes before release. This is starting to look like some serious amateur hour here.

I am assuming there is no way to get a refund on a pre-order of a pack when you've already given out the extra copies without a substantial hassle, otherwise I would be very much inclined to say "Fuck it" on Renegade Ops and wait until it's on sale for pocket change.

Posting a tweet to announce your game has been delayed after it has passed its scheduled release date.

GJ Sega. I think I am peering at the bottom of costumer relations, which is saying something.

I'd be fine with this delay if they'd said a couple days ago, "Hey guys. Sorry, but we're going to have to delay the game for a week (or two or however long they think it'll take) due to some unforeseen issues." A last minute delay shouldn't be acceptable.

This. It's not like they decided at the last second they needed to delay it. I really, really doubt that. They just decided to tell us at the last second.

Now says the 26th. Day after BF3, so I probably won't have much time to play this. Great job Sega.

battlefield releases on the 25th? awesome, had no idea. Might buy myself a decent birthday present.

as for this, I'm unable to get onto Steam for a good few days so the delay doesn't affect me too much. I'll still have to wait for it a day or two, once I get mt bedroom back... But its not as bad.

They're just building hype, so an hour before release on Oct 26 they send it back for ultraoptimization.

Then it'll come out November 11th.

Eh. I don't think it's going to effect them that much anyway. I doubt they're expecting much in the way of PC sales, and it's not like this is MW3 or something. It's not in any type of competition with BF3, and at $15 vs $60, I don't think there's any crossover there.

If anything will hurt the sales, it was this delay. Not putting it out with BF3.
