Going to Seattle next weekend and looking for restaurants for the wife and I to try.
We like anything from diners to fine dining.
We really like Mexican and Asian. Any ideas?
It isn't a diner or restaurant but Paseos in Ballard or Fremont serves the most delicious cuban sandwiches for cheep. Highly recomend grabbing some and taking it to a park for consumption.
Pike Place has a load of great places to eat at, especially good for lunch after walking around for a while. My wife and I enjoyed Beecher's in particular.

Its north of seattle in lynnwood (get on I5 you'll see signs for alderwood mall thats where the closest location is at). Delicious as hell and not very expensive.
I would like some money because these are artisanal nuggets of wisdom philistine.
I haven't yet been to their Seattle location, but having eaten there in Taiwan I would definitely recommend Din Tai Fung: 700 Bellevue Way NE #280, Bellevue, WA 98004
My husband and I are going to make a trip out there since we're getting there a little early, and their soup dumplings are phenomenal. Just thinking about them makes me drool.
I've eaten at Than Bros. They're not bad, but it's not like you're getting a ginormous bowl of pho for $2. For roughly a couple of bucks more, I feel Pho Cyclo is well worth it.
My wife has me going to http://www.thecrabpotseattle.com/ every time we go to Seattle to visit her dad. The food is pretty damn good and its a nice sensation being able to eat so much food with your hands and no one looks at you funny for being covered in crab and butter at the end of the meal
Also the Blazing Onion is fantastic!

If you want some authentic Chinese food, both Lao Sichuan and 7 Stars are awesome restaurants to go to. They don't look like much, but the food speaks for itself. They are on opposite corners at 12th and Jackson.
Also, Bleu Bistro on Broadway has some tasty food and an interesting atmosphere. Particular favorites are the Drunken Tuna Tacos and the Wasabi Grilled Cheese Sandwich.

Is the Bleu Bistro the place that has the crazy little hidden booths and what not? I used to take dates there.

Just a little up the way is Unicorn which I swear to god has the closest thing to an In n Out burger in Seattle. Also they have great drinks and CORNDOGS WITH GREAT TOPPINGS.
Skillet is super awesome. Not sure why it says "Street food" in the URL, though, since it's a normal restaurant. They have lots of cool, fusion-y items, a good bar, and it's not going to break the bank (~$20-25 a person for food/drink?).
Also, you should try B&O Espresso. Awesome desserts and drinks, pretty good food. (~$20 a person for food/drink).
EDIT: Oh, didn't realize there's a Skillet food truck. That's why it says street food. Anyway, I mean the restaurant, not the food truck.

Excellent burgers, though I'd recommend you pass on "upgrading" to the kobe grass fed beef.

And while it's a serious schlep from Seattle proper, I've heard the food is fucking amazing (also amazingly expensive):

Is it newer? It's been 6 years since I've been there. Do they give you crème puffs?

Hey, anyone know how to make links anymore?
That's gotta be some good pho. I could spend next to nothing and get a bowl of pho big enough to bathe my cat in at Than Brothers.
I really like the Cyclops in Belltown as well. I used to do their happy hour all the time.

Oooo. Wanna go to Canlis when i'm at PAX, Thanatos?
I think you meant to say The Herbfarm
I prefer Tacos Chukis on Broadway. Cause it's a little hole in the wall and cheap and delicious and a mere 2 blocks from my place.
Crabpot is not a Seattle only thing.
I'm saving it for when I get a 300% raise.
Great place.

Better than The Honey Hole?
Go to Beth's Cafe. It's unique.
...and order some of that "friendship" bread.
"Omlettes as big as yer freakin head" sounds pretty good to me!

I also submit to you the all-time master of Pho

Beth's is really great if you're drunk at 2 am, the alcohol seems to add to the taste.
Also, for something a little pricier, the Icon Bar and Grill near downtown used to have nice food. Haven't been there in years though.
