Give it a rest, man. Stick to the freaking topic.

Head down to the Pike Place Market and have some lunch at the Athenian. It's also unique.

I've been to the Bellevue Wild Ginger, and it is indeed quite fantastic.

No, really. Don't take Slider's advice. The dude once asserted in SE that he couldn't find any good restaurants in Ballard. Beth's isn't bad for what it is, but it's just a greasy spoon. If you're visiting Seattle, there are plenty of better places that are also closer to downtown. Slider has like, anti-taste when it comes to food. In SE, even the mods openly mock him: http://forums.penny-arcade.com/discussion/comment/20223183#Comment_20223183

Hell, even the title of that thread reflects this.

Is that crumpet place still in Pike Place Market? They make a good breakfast.

Fuck, you're a goose. What is wrong with you?

The title specifically states "nice" or "unique" and Beth's is unique.

I'm offering suggestions and trying to help the guy out and you're simply being antagonistic and rude. This is not the place for that sort of behavior.

With that being said, The 5-Point Cafe is another unique place that actually has some really good breakfast dishes.

You mean the Knife Point Café? Last time I was there was at 7am and it was full of people coming down off their coke highs and drinking that early to try and stave off the shakes.

Another place I forgot to mention is Assimba. They're in the central district, the restaurant is very plain looking, but they serve wonderful Ethiopian food and the injera is actually made with teff flour. Not only is that more authentic, but it means the injera holds up better for picking up food compared to the injera at Pan Africa or most other Ethiopian restaurants around here. And the food just tastes great all around.

Pan Africa is near Pike Place market so is much more convenient for Ethiopian, but while it's good, I feel Assimba is superior and well worth the drive.

So in defense ... yes unique means it can be a dive. nice can mean they will laugh and point as i roll up in a sub compact rental. I don't care I just love food of all types and styles.

I am the one that still maintains every celebrity restaurant that I ate at in vegas was horrible - esp. for the price compared to what that gets you in DC for the same price. However, wife and I have been tempted to fly back JUST FOR the french toast at planet hollywood.

Still checking all the links and planning food out. THANKS EVERYONE KEEP THEM COMING!

So far Skillet's is absolutely up our alley. We love that "new take on classics" type restaurant and the menu had me salivating just reading it.

Oh, Blue Acre Seafood downtown does a fucking fantastic three-course lunch for $15. This would cost you $25 or more in another restaurant. So good.
