hello I need someway to do my math homework on my computer. I don't need it to solve the problems just let me format the problems and print them showing my work. I don't know if something like this is out there. thanks
Unless you want to learn LATEX, I would suggest using Word's equation editor. It is a bit cumbersome but it gets the job done.

Actually, the free OpenOffice suite, I've found, has the absolute best equation editor in terms of being both intuitive and fast. I used it all the time for doing lab reports, and compared to anything else I've ever used (mainly WordPerfect, barely ever-- shudder-- regular old Word) it took much less time to write up equations, and had more features (which I especially needed since I was doing Physics lab reports) than the others as well. You can easily insert all sorts of symbols, make big old fractions to show an equation... anything you want. Plus, OpenOffice is probably, nowadays, the absolute best word processing/spreadsheet/presentation-creating program that exists... and it's even FREE. I mean, seriously. It's the best deal out there right now. I used to swear by WordPerfect, but even though I have access to it I've still decided to use OpenOffice instead.
