Help me take the GRE in an unfamiliar city (Bellingham, Wa)
I live near Seattle, and due to sheer idiocy on my part I waited so long to sign up for my GRE subject test that Seattle's testing center has no more seats. So I signed up for the next closest town, Bellingham. The test is Oct 15th, a Saturday, at 8:30 AM. I have no car. So I am planning on traveling up there Friday night and staying overnight before taking the test.
Some questions:
How good is the public transit? I tried using google maps to plan out bus trips from nearby hotels, but I didn't find any routes. Am I destined for a nice morning stroll? I tried using whatcom county's website, and I couldn't find any routes that would get me there early enough on a Saturday. But perhaps I missed something?
Does anyone know where in the college the GRE testing occurs? I've contacted ETS but am waiting for their reply -- I think I'll give the college a try next if no one here knows.
Weekend bus service is not as good as weekday in Bellingham. It starts later, ends earlier, and is not as often. You'll probably be taking a stroll. It's a nice walk, although it's mostly uphill.
I would recommend calling wwu's testing center (guessing that's who is running it) and asking where the test will be. I have a few guesses, but I don't want to lead you astray.
