There was a contest to create some unique cards for AC!D 2 for the US release. Four fan-designed cards were put into the game, one of them being the one The_Spaniard came up with. I think the password you use is "TheSpaniard" to unlock it (no quotation marks). It's a pretty sweet card to boot.
Peace Walker was leaps and bounds above Portable Ops, in my opinion. I love the hell outta that game, and had unlocked almost everything at one point. Been meaning to go back and finish up, but then I figured I might as well wait for the HD Collection since I'll have to do it all over again (presumably for trophies or whatever they're adding in). PW is also a heap of fun in that it can be played co-op; most stages can be done with 2 people, and boss-type levels can have 4. Running things with a sneak buddy is a blast, and 4 dudes wailing on tanks is never not fun.
I never played 3, 4 or 1. Or any of the PSP games, so I'm considering the 2 collections coming out in Japan. Not sure that I'll buy them just yet, but it's on my radar.
I'd get the collection solely for Peace Walker. Like others, I just couldn't adjust to the controls, so hopefully this way I can really enjoy the game. And hey, if the HD is good, maybe I'll play the other games. But I actually already played through the whole lot months ago in a big Metal Gear marathon, culminating in playing through MGS4.
Speaking of, can we talk about 4? Like I said, I finally managed to play through it months ago. I have no idea what the popular general consensus is. But y'know what? Sue me, I really enjoyed it. Thought it was a blast from end to end.
"The sausage of Green Earth explodes with flavor like the cannon of culinary delight."
I knew the general consensus would be to hold off for the HD collection. *harumph* I'll see if I can get Acid 2 on the cheap to satiate myself. It seems like people like number two more.
if you actually LIKE the gameplay in the original MGS, please please please play this
It's a collection of story-less missions, but it's not the same as the ones included with the original game. They're really fun and creative. I played it enough to get 100% and I don't even like the old PSX MGS gameplay.

Just bear in mind that it plays nothing like the other MGS games, has no relations to the story, and is card-based strategy. It's still fun; don't get me wrong! I also like how the writers poke fun at the series from time to time.
NPC: Blah blah blah Metal Gear.
Snake-with-amnesia: Metal Gear!?
NPC: You know what it is?
SWA: No... Just felt like blurting it out.

I played the Playstation version. I like how it is clunky and weird to play. I dunno why, really. I like Dead Rising, also...
