God I'm so happy football's back.
Too bad I'm not going to be able to watch this game AND I might have to miss the pats game on sunday. Grrrrrrr
Football is one of the most boring sports I have ever watched.

@LoserForHireX: I'll have to dig it out, but I read some papers by Nozick and Nagel on the subject, that morals are unanalyzable and derived from speculation. And I totally think that you could fish it out of Ayer and Quine and all those dudes.
Sometimes, I'll just like... pop out a beard in a couple weeks... and then shave it off just to see what different facial hair configurations would look like.
mine is quite ample. you can have some of mine if you want.

Very good point. I'm not surprised if Nozick said something like that, but Nagel kind of surprises me. Ayer, while a pimp, was pretty much the poster child for everything that was flawed about logical positivism.
I can see where the claim you made could come from. Now I'm not certain about the statistics about theism among analytically trained moral philosophers, but I would imagine that I'm not the only athiest. There is certainly nothing contradictory about maintaining an athiestic stance and that there is some manner of universal moral rule. I think that there is not any significantly huge metaphysical weightlifting that needs to go on beyond "there are some things that exist that aren't physical." (like democracy)

I rooted against them in that very Super Bowl.
