I'm struggling to find the joke here. I mean, a parody facebook page? This is hardly an original concept. If you look at the Mass Effect G&T thread, you'll see that someone made a facebook page for Commander Shepard and it is hilarious. It's pretty sad that people on this forum did this joke better than T&G...
These things can be funny when there's all kinds of little references. This just looks like half of a facebook page for some random adventurer, and there isn't much of a joke to be found here...

There's a FB game tie in to the newly released Neverwinter D&D setting (I haven't tried it, just seen a friend sign up to it) which I'm assuming led to the creation of this.

Well by all means, do a better comic and show them how bad theirs is.

Ah, see, now I get it. That's the crucial piece of info I did not know.

It's probably not a good idea to openly challenge someone like that when their whole argument is "This has been done before and better".
I've also seen facebook parody pages for Darth Vader and others, all of which were better executed than this comic. And of course, "bet you can't do better!" is hardly an acceptable argument. After all, many of us judge the performances of athletes who would totally kick our ass.
I'm just saying it's kind of a tired joke, and not the best execution of it. It may be topical, but then it falls to them to make the concept seem fresh again.

There’s a Facebook distillation of Fourth Edition Dungeons and/or Dragons that could be much, much worse than it is. That may seem like it’s not a compliment, but given the grotesqueries that have writhed beneath that tarnished banner the improvement is almost incalculable.
That’s something I never entirely understood, this gulf between the paper systems (i.e., the fucking game!) and the moist band of ill-starred mutants it seems to produce. Everyone wants to make hack and slash action games with the license, or an RTS for some reason - at any rate, this is what companies are allowed to make with the licenses they are allowed to buy. If this is an attempt by Wizards of the Coast to protect the table, it’s misguided; I play Dungeons & Dragons because of SSI’s legendary Gold Box. These things are a virtuous cycle.
I managed to complete Gears of War a few days ago, and it’s real good. That’s pretty much it; there’s not much more you can say. They worked on it for a super long time, brought in a pro to write a script, and dished up a multiplayer beta so that the game’s solitary extant problem melted into syrup. I’m that guy, though, and you should incorporate that into your assessment; I own a Lancer you’ll recall, and what’s more, I know it’s called a Lancer.
You should know that the game’s lead writer, Karen Traviss, loves The “Cole Train” - whose full name is Augustus Cole, and who in conversations with me she has referred to simply as Augustus. I knew this anyway, but another way you can tell is that she gives him the best line in the entire game. I mean, far and away the best line. She also gave us Bernadette Mataki and Samantha Byrne - she’s done her unstoppable thing, which is to ask real questions of these impossible spaces, and then answer them with a narrative. That’s her in a nutshell. There’s a reason why she keeps gettingthesejobs: she has a tremendous heart for the soldier, and telling their stories is a kind of overriding personal mission.

Eh. If everyone checked around online every time they had an idea, to see if someone had done it better, then nothing would ever get made.
Good Luck Handling Freyna. Freyna being the wanton, but notoriously demanding barmaid who lures brave heroes into various cellars, barns, attics, and caves with such frequency that the realm devised an acronym to save time discussing the situation.

are you guys kidding? the garrus post on shepards wall alone is by far funnier than anything in this PA comic. plus it's clear a lot more work went into the Mass Effect edits. Or care, or something. which is ok, because I'm pretty sure the PA comic just an outlet for the funny invented fantasy names
