[Starcraft 2] THIS THREAD IS OVER. POST IN THE NEW ONE.
After reading this, their reasoning for each change seems solid, if a bit flawed in the way they chose to address some concerns.
obviously I'm not a fan of the NP nerf, as NP isn't exactly easy to do and requires a ton of micro and position, and isn't as auto-win as people make it out to be . But I'm glad they didn't nerf ITs like everyone was calling for. Spamming ITs is pretty much our only way to break into 2-base turtles of all races, as well as break out of marine/tank base sieges.
Fungal nerf is meh, fungal still stops MMM which is what it's best for and still does some nice aoe DPS to stalker balls.
The TvP matchup is considered unwinnable in Korea and in Code S the numbers are pretty indicative of that... what I really like though is that Blizzard took a look at the numbers and they realized that the big reason why, that everyone's been complaining about [is] the acceleration of the mothership... and then also, the Immortal's lack of utility in the late game. I mean when those EMPs carpet bomb my entire army, you know what I'm thinking? What if I had fucking four Immortals right now. Y'know? If I had four fucking Immortals just going, I don't give a shit about you and they're just killing everything? Then that's the story of success!

I'm not really inclined to listen to iNcontroL's thoughts on balance. I love the guy, but he's a pretty crappy pro.
Although he's not entirely wrong. Blizz could/should have done more. But the Immortal definitely needed fixing.

I guess you had to see the way he said it. His delivery was hilarious. He was absolutely killing it in this SotG. Later on in the show:
"You know what I just fucking realized? Listen to this fucking epiphany I just had. The foreigner scene has sent to Korea Major, Fenix, and Naniwa to join Korean teams. What the fuck are we doing?!""

Finally catching up on SotG. The line about who we're sending to Korea is hilarious, but like...really true. We sent 3 of the biggest assholes in the scene (specifically, all 3 of them have really big reputations for being extremely difficult to have on a team) to represent us. Sigh.
Also, what is this break music that JP plays now? It's rad and I want it. Sounds like a game?
Vari, someone theorised that being an european team na'vi wanted more european applicants, and if they can snag a korean so be it. But if they get an american they want to be sure it's one of the absolute best.

I appreciated that they recognized something is wrong with ultras and stated that this first pass is a test to see if something bigger needs to happen. I say they make ultras walk over non-massive friendly units. That will at least help with the idiotic pathing.

what exactly is it you want from corruptors that you aren't getting?
they kill colossus well when you have the right number and can cast corruption on them or other units and can become brood lords (which are now recognized as being good unlike in the past)
