you have to time a run to try to get to the middle of the bridge where there is a staircase down. If you avoid the oil spots on the bridge the fire is not an instant-kill.

God this game is haaaard (duh). Don't like how they gimped magic, mostly because I have fat fingers and am not the best at combat, but ah well. Playing a pyromancer and just beat the first boss (not the tutorial) by spamming flame and firebombs and doing that kickass drop attack. Dunno how I would have dealed with a melee character.

I don't agree at all, probably because I have a different motivation to play the game. I don't care so much about discovering all the secrets and mysteries. I care about experiencing the combat and aesthetics, because those are the things I like most about Demon/Dark Souls. So I'll take whatever help I can find to get as much as I can from those two aspects.

Also also I've had 3 moments where the game just freezes for like 10 seconds in the middle of an action, once during a boss, that caused me to die and it is a pain. What the hell, ps3

To add to this, I don't have all the free time in the world these days, so I'd rather not spend hours banging my head against a wall figuring out the attack patterns for a boss when there's plenty of people who did that already and posted the results on youtube/gamefaqs/whatever

my friend and I keep trying to summon ourselves by drawing that white glowy thing on the ground using the crystal that the solaire of astora gave us, but it never spawns in the other guy's world

We just tried that

I was human and he was hollowed. We both put the signs on the ground just in case. I couldnt see his, and he couldnt see mine. He did get summoned by some random guy, though.

Why cant I see his sign?

Edit: we are both part of the Way of the White covenant, too
