I have a song. It is in my head. I do not what it is or where it came from. Help me to identify it so I can make it go away.
I even made a handy little map to help! Play the red numbers from 1-6 three times, and then play the blue from 1-6! That should be sufficient for an identification.
e: I should probably provide a link to the thing I used to make this image. Here you go.
I don't know the song, but Yellow Submarine always helps me get songs out of my head.

Is there a site or something you can feed that info into to make a sound file? I can't put it together when I have to focus on pressing keys, and I'm not terribly musically inclined.
And it seems like all is dying, and would leave the world to mourn
Not sure what speed you wanted it at, and trying to click on keys once at a time ends up with things sounding a bit disjointed anyway, but this is what I came up with, might help someone identify it for you.
My search turned up either Leaving on a Jet Plane or Bleeding Love... I don't think those are it. Go to midomi.com if you've got a microphone hooked up and hum it.
Yeah, that's basically it. Minus the timing issues.
do you know what kind of music it is?
instrumental? with words? piano only?

It sounds really familiar, but I dunno.. knowing what kind of music is would definitely help.

The tiny part of the song I remember is just a piano. It's supposed to sound kind of somber and vaguely haunting.
It's definitely not the Super Mario bros theme. I'm pretty sure I've seen it in a movie somewhere. Or a documentary. I remember somebody dying I think. Perhaps in a hospital. And this song was playing. Very much an "oh well what can you do, we're all fucked" kind of moment.
I wanna say you'd be playing this at around 68-72bpm.
Songs like this are a dime a dozen. Often custom made for the film and never released to soundtrack. Particularly if it's a documentary. You could be on a hunt you'll never find, unless you can name the film or you have somebody who can name the song from that midi.
Is it a song that you know exists outside of said film?
But here's my wild guess. Simply because it's a sad piano song and there's a death scene at a hospital bed.
It is not even close to being that complex. It's more like the simple piano you'd hear as the backdrop for an R&B song or something.

Ooookay, I *think* I might have an idea, and I think someone else will be able to find it faster than me, and I'm tired, so here goes.
There was a song done to piano, and I believe the artist is Chinese. The video shows him playing the piano interspersed with clips of him and his girlfriend happy and making a life together, and then she starts to get sick and he becomes concerned. As time goes on you see more scenes of him visiting her in a hospital room as she gets weaker, and eventually she dies in that hospital bed (while she's watching him on TV playing the song dedicated to her at a concert, if memory serves, which it might not).

I think I know the tune in question, but unfortunately I don't know the name of the song. The piano melody is supposed to be the beginning of the song, right? The song I'm thinking of has the following rhythm:
B----F#-G-F#-D-B----F#-G-F#-D-B
Maybe that will help some folks figure out this song...

but it's either too off key, or I have no idea. Or I am terrible at playing keyboards.
Not really an "or." I am terrible at keyboards.

Coldplay huh? Really? I've never listened to them before.
(Thank you!)
e: Hmmm. I was pretty off on the notes I think. Not bad recall for being in my head though!
