I love Halloween and I love video games, so anytime I can combine them it's a win for me. This is why I obviously love Costume Quest so much, which I'll be replaying soon. But what games will you guys be playing on or around Halloween? Let's talk about the scariest games we've ever played and recommend some.

Oh and if you aren't in the mood...

Visiting Calendar Man in Arkham City. Also, maybe some Dead Space and Left 4 Dead.

Costume Quest and Undead Nightmare if I have time. Played both last year and it was super fun.

Also Infamous 2: Festival of Blood. Really looking forward to that.

I already kicked off my "spooky" games with Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines last month. I meant to save it for October, but I couldn't wait to play it after snagging it on Steam. Since that's the only new game I have to fit the October theme, I'll probably just default to playing Costume Quest, Trick or Treat Adventure Quest, and Halloween-ish mods for Half-Life 1 (They Hunger, Swiss Cheese, etc.)

    And Batman.

This month is horror-themed games for me. It started with Resident Evil: Director's Cut. I've also got Binding of Isaac (not exactly horror, but works for me), RE2 and 3, Parasite Eve, Doom 3, F.E.A.R. and whatever else I can find.

If the work-in-progress prototype arrives in time for the Halloween party, and I can find someone who I can borrow Move controllers from, I plan on running Joust at our game club's sortie.

Not really "scary", but looks to be fun.

Oh yeah. My cousin will be visiting a few days before halloween. It might be fun to drag out my Sega Genesis and play some co-op Zombies Ate My Neighbors.

I use to spend a lot of time in October fighting the headless horseman in WoW hoping for some cool loot, but I've since given WoW up after realizing I have tons of games in my backlog that would never be beaten if I continued WoW.

Maybe I'll play Condemned again. That game scared the crap out of me.

I really wish there were more Costume Quest type games.
