Tetris (Ska Version)

I'm organizing my music, trying to find original artists and albums for every mp3, and I've come across a ska version of the Tetris song, Korobeiniki. It purports to be by Mr. Bungle, but I can find no way of confirming this. I've spent about 30 minutes scouring google to no avail, so I figured I'd turn here. Anybody know of this version? Know if it's actually by Mr. Bungle, or somebody else?

Edit: One possible lead I've come up with is that it's by a band called G7. But I can only find a live recording of them performing on Youtube, with no evidence of existence elsewhere.

I have a live ska version of the tetris theme song which is apparently by the Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra. Them, maybe?

A few years ago, a friend of mine told me about a band called Ozma that covered the song. I hadn't heard it until I found it here just now. It doesn't sound very ska-ish to me, but I'm not very knowledgeable on the genre.

I have a ska-version of that theme by Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra as well, they're a ska big band, the singer has a terrible accent and a fucked up voice, most of their work is instrumental, though.

I wish they had samples of their songs, I am intrigued by this band. And I love brass instruments.

Huh? I didn't find them. I guess I'll have to open my eyes and look harder.

Oh! Didn't have my speakers on, and that's only on the main page :P

But I was looking for a "hey listen to a few of our songs!" section, like some bands have.

I'm already surprised they bothered to translate their site to English.

We're hijacking the thread, though, I'll throw you a link to a similar band through a PM.

OP: I don't know of any other bands that do videogame-theme remixes, maybe The Aquabats, but I have their CDs and never heard that song. Maybe it's a completely unknown ska-band (there are many of those :) ), in which case I can't help you, it's not a band from my area, I believe.

Ozma. Listen to their music. They are wonderful. Gameover, In search of 1988 are good songs. And of course the tetris theme.

Dragonforce likes to add some "video game type" guitar rips as well.

It's definately not Ozma. I already had that version. And I'm pretty sure it's not G7, since they use a lot of saxophones in the live video I found, while the mp3 I have uses more trumpets. I'm checking out Japanese Ska Paradise Orchestra now though, thanks.

Edit: Found a video of them performing the song. Definately not them either.

I think I have this same version, and for some reason it's just called Tetris (probably because I was lazy naming it). I have reason to believe it was a One-Ups remix on VGMix.com, but since they're remodeling their site, I cannot confirm this.

    Is it this: http://evilbadman.googlepages.com/TetrisSka.mp3

to be honest, this track always has been attributed to Mr Bungle as an unreleased track. There's nothing to prove it is, it emerged during "the kazaa years" so to speak, when everything was mislabled as green day or weird al.... so i don't know honestly if it is or not, but everyone and their mother thinks that it is. Internet radio stations play it as mr bungle, and every mr bungle fan i know seems to think it's them. They used to play the mario theme song live at shows, and have several nes samples in their music, so it wouldn't be a surprise if it's them.

It's not like the Tetris-theme is obscure or anything, there must be dozens of versions floating around. ;)
