I'm in Roswell New Mexico, please help

me find aliens.

I'm going to be here for the next 12 hours. I'm currently on what i'd call the 'main street' staying at one of the motels.
What i want to find is some VERY local areas and bars. The types where when i walk in i'm likely to sit down next to a bearded man in a cap who will tell me about the time he got abducted.
Does anyone know this area well that could recommend me a few places to hit up?

I'm not interested in the UFO museum etc

    You can check out tripadvisor on the forum there. They usualy list bars and some local placed.
    you can also check with the reseception at the motel on where locals like to drink.

    From what I recall from my time there, not likely to happen. A good majority of the locals see it as a tourist draw and nothing more. Im sure there is someplace where you could get some crazy stories, but they are going to be few and far between. Your best bet really would probably be to go to the museum and ask.
