You see, it is all about the angle of attack. You need to be extra careful to nail the drop zone. You don't want your fall rate to be too fast or slow. Diving in tandem is more more fun that doing a hand deploy on a solo jump.

I found Skydiving overrated. I just didn't find jumping out of a plane all that exhilarating. My total summary of the experience was "I should probably try Hot-air ballooning".

My wife, on the other hand, loves it, and has gone a half-dozen or so times.

I plan on making my first jump next month, it will be interesting to see if its more exciting than chasing storms is which I doubt it will be. I have been ballooning several times and have a friend who owns a couple, I find it very boring and to slow paced. It can be pretty relaxing though.
