I play on picking this game up but I have a quick question about it that I can't seem to find the answer to online.
I know it will have its own multiplayer component running on the Reach engine (and also some of my old favorite maps), but will this coalesce with Halo Reach? If I own both copies will I be able to play all of the new maps from Halo Reach or will I have to put in the Halo Anniversary Edition disc every time? I really want it to be the former so the maps can just be in general circulation when I'm playing matchmaking on Reach.
As I understand it 343 Industries took over managing Halo Reach's multiplayer a while ago so it seems logical, no? Especially if they're running on the same engine and all that.
The remake of halo 1 is simply a reskinning and retexturing, you can't play reach maps on it and you can't play the new maps on Halo: CEAE on R

I know the remake of the singleplayer is a reskinning, running on the same engine with the Reach one on top to modify graphics.
But from what I've read, the multiplayer part of this game is all Reach engine, so I don't see why they wouldn't make Reach and HCEA compatible. Is there some reason I'm not seeing as to why this wouldn't be possible?
I hate you and you hate me.

Last we knew the maps for CEA won't include the current map packs. But the base maps should be with the CEA. The only time that you should have to swap a disc is if you want reach campaign or CEA campaign.
This is not set in stone yet. It could change since is still in development and microsoft, well, is microsoft and prone to changing their minds without an official press release to hold against them.
