I would like to sign onto a charity fund raiser 25k run this coming summer to promote awareness of breast cancer and i'm terribly out of shape. I just recently did changes to my diet to commence losing weight, but now would like to focus on the actual part of running long distances. How can I run decently fast for more than 60 seconds?
According to my friend that runs marathons, and his parents, you are also supposed to vary the lengths of runs and speed. If I remember right, the longest he had to run was 8 miles.
