all i'm saying is that networks are of limited bandwagon use this game given how the powers are set up

better for us to start discussing right now rather than wait for tayrun to show up with STARTLING NEW EVIDENCE

I was waiting on Tayrun's suggestion, as net-head.

Wow thats a lot of different colours in the narration. Does this mean a lot of factions, or individual neutral players? i'm guessing neutrals because of the size of the game. I am probably wrong 8-)

Perhaps some powers change your colour or something? Or colours just change around like powers do sometimes.

I agree. At the very least we need conversation and voting records that er can paw through later if the network hits a dead end.
People who don't want to talk things through are probably mafia. Like stever.

So if my counting is correct Stever has 4 votes and spoit has 3.

I vote Stever to get a clear gap between 1st and 2nd.

Last night Phyphor took over 20HP worth of damage and didn't die.

Either he was protected by an ability that would have been VERY useful to the village (which I wasn't informed about), OR he's some sort of monster.

Either way, he should be sent to join Kime in orbit.

Maybe, but we won't really know until we have at least two people of the any one color. I suppose a bunch of neutrals could have been hit, as unlikely as that would be

Phyphor does have a tendency to not bother responding to network calls, even when he's a villager. And by a history, I mean the one game where I was the network head

I appreciate your candidness Phyphor. You have my word that if you turn out to be innocent I will avenge your death.

I typically ignore network calls when I'm a simple villager because "hey I'm a villager" is pretty useless and my power today is literally the worst power ever

So, what exactly is a normal amount of HP?

Also everyone has 10 HP. If you go to 0 or below you will die at the end of the day. If you go above 10 for any reason you will be adjusted back to 10 at the end of each day. HP for the most part will be hidden from players but there are powers which can reveal this information.
The flavor for both is these is that players are switching bodies each day. Like that one episode of Power Puff Girls.

Tayrun do you know what the sort of damage was supposed to be? Could he have been busdriven?

  • MrTLiciousMrTLicious Registered User regular

    Phyphor, it is.

It is possible, as are several other guard-type scenarios.

If he dies mafia, then great. If he dies village, it helps me secure the network.

  • MrTLiciousMrTLicious Registered User regular
Actually, on reflection I'm not sure how damning that is. How many people knew that Phyphor was a damage target? The larger this number is, the less damning.

One explanation is that Phyphor is a SK.

The other is that the mafia knew that Phyphor was getting rolled, and "guarded" him. But I think the mafia would do this regardless of whether or not Phyphor was mafia. If he's mafia, you have to save him. If he's village, you buy a day by ensuring that the vote target is on a villager the next day.

The more people that knew that Phyphor was the vig target, the more chances there are that the mafia stopped it, and it's not the case that he's a SK.

It seems like there are a lot more powers than just the normal guards/busdrivers that would prevent death if you know it's coming. My power today switches damage and healing, for example. There are probably all sorts of redirects/shields, too that will make things go haywire, so the likelihood that the mafia had something to protect Phyphor is likely.

  • MrTLiciousMrTLicious Registered User regular
How does him dying village help secure the network? You already know he was somehow guarded, so there is certainly a rogue or a leak, regardless of how he turns up.

  • SpoitSpoit *twitch twitch* Registered User regular
20 damage? Fairly sure a good number of people knew to target him

    steam_sig.png
  • MrTLiciousMrTLicious Registered User regular
I have yet to get a flat HP power, so I don't know what is typical. I would guess 4 based on 10hp, but before I knew that it could have been anything. 4 isn't that large, so long as the vigs were the only one that knew it, I'd say he's likely a SK. But maybe it's a lot more than 4.

  • SeGaTaiSeGaTai Registered User regular
Phyphor, could be a waste but better than the stever vote

    PSN SeGaTai
  • MrTLiciousMrTLicious Registered User regular
I'm guessing that if Tayrun had 2 10 pt. vigs they would have been separated, giving two chances to catch a mafia rather than 1.

Also, I've had a straight-up vig that wasn't based on HP, so I think it's unlikely that there's a power that reliably gives you >= 10 damage.

  • MrTLiciousMrTLicious Registered User regular
Ohh. I meant 4 people, not 4 damage. So you're saying that there were 10 people vigging Phyphor?

    Yeah, that's not so good.
