Phone won't access forums on 3g

I have a samsung galaxy s captivate and it won't load the forums over 3g while i'm signed in. It just hangs and tells me there is a data connectivity problem. If i log out however, it loads them just fine. I haven't had any problems with it loading other web pages. Does anyone have any idea why being signed in is causing problems?
