Right, so a bunch of us play these fighting game things on the internet with each other. Some have been at it for years and rock the shit at everything but some of us haven't and are still learning. That means there's room for pretty much anyone that's interested to join us!

I enjoy Mortal Kombat if I am playing against the computer. When I play online with random people I never stand a chance. The combo system just seems... inorganic. I prefer Killer Instincts combo system because it had a flow to it.

KI's combo system was a pile of dial-a-combo bs. Rote memorization of button strings, no timing or situational awareness required. also: breakers

and yet out of all current fighting games on the market, one game stands out as having an extremely KI style combo system

Oh, and MvC on Dreamcast. I found out how to break my fingers off with that game. I never experienced cramping like that until I tried playing Metroid Prime: Hunters Multiplayer when the DS first came out. Good times though, fucking good times.

While I like character loyalty, I hope some top level guys make switches to take advantage of the buffs, just to see new characters at tournament level.

Or at least, I'm hoping it'll stir up new talent.
