NEW AC CHALLENGE RULE: Winner of the previous challenge picks the winner of the next challenge.
Ok, It's silly but it's the only thing I could think of. Pirates vs Ninjas vs Cowboys. It's a play on Rock/Paper/Scissors that I picked up from somewhere.
Anyway, play with the concept, make it fun, you get to decide which category the dudes fall under. (Are Ninjas paper, Cowboys scissors, and Pirates rock, etc.)
And if you don't win the first time... well, best 2 out of 3?
For those of you who frequent the conceptart.org forums this should be pretty familiar; tens of artistic combatants thrown together in to an artistic arena, each struggling for the honor of being dubbed a master of the visual arts. Those of you who succeed will be bathed in glory and the blood of their competitors, those of you who fail will be exiled to a life of shame and isolation.
The aim of this thread is to try and spice things up a bit here in the ol' Artist's Corner. This thread is for entries in to the challenge or the discussion thereof. If you'd like to suggest a topic for the weekly challenge, go right ahead, but understand that the last winner of the challenge has total control over the task (unless they have won more than two challenges in a row, see rules).
The rules are simple;
* One entry per person, per challenge.
* A contestant cannot win more than two challenges in a row.
* Winner gets the privilege of choosing the next challenge.
* Winner also gets the honor of picking the winner of the next challenge.
* At the end of a challenge, the thread is locked and a new one is begun.
* Stick to the challenge topic; no going off on a tangent.
* All formats welcome, whether they be traditional or digital; 2D or 3D; still or animated.
If you're looking for inspiration, check out the aforementioned conceptart.org forums (specifically the creature/environment/character of the week sections).

edit:Finished the cowboy.
@ zelda - Patience! In no time, entries will no doubt start pouring in. Then Cyber will hop in and obliterate the competition. It is the way of the PA world!
Here's the pirate.
and the official entry.
I'm sure the ninja can be the scissors, but I'm not sure how the others would fit into the others believably.
Pirate beats cowboy
Cowboy beats ninja.
It doesn't have to make sense. I mean, where's the sense of a rock being beaten by a sheet of paper? That paper hasn't won, the rock is just waiting for a breeze to blow the annoying pest away so it can go on it's way and smash the shit out of some helpless scissors somewhere.
Also, those are awesome.
Ninja beats pirate, because pirate is too drunk and visually impaired to hear the ninja coming.
Pirate beats cowboy, because pirate is cheating bastard and poisoned the cowboy's bourbon the night before.
Cowboy beats ninja, because as fast as the ninja is it's no match for a trusty revolver.
Also, yes those cards are EFFIN cool.
He's supposed to be a treasure map (making him paper!), in case that doesn't come across well enough.
Those cards though, they are fantastic. Mr. Scadilla, you're awesome.
