    Developers who fix it adopt a "When it's ready" attitude. IE Valve and Blizzard. Also plenty of indie teams aren't beholden to publishers and holiday-release-schedules.

    That's too far in the other direction. A balanced approach is necessary, and not the minimum amount of QC possible to keep the public from murdering them.

    No, Blizzard gets away with it because they routinely put out top tier fantastic products. I can't remember a time blizzard developed a game that I was disappointing in.
