missed maybe the last 10-15 mins of it though because I had to go to work, can anyone spoil me
the dad realizes that he was wrong when the kid, as emmet, gives a speech about what being special means and how it can be anyone. Lord Business puts the cap on the super glue and there is a huge explosion but everyone is ok. The dad and his son spend the evening taking all the super glue off of everyone and rebuilding the city when the mom calls them up for taco night. Emmet and wyld style get together when batman says that emmet is "the hero she needs."
The stinger is the dad tells the kid that now that he can play down here, his sister will be able to play too, and the kid looks scared. Cuts to the lego world and some duplos warp in and in a toddler's voice say "we are the duplos and we are gonna destrooyyy youuu"

I would suggest either going to see it again, ongoing to another movie and sneaking into the end, because you really miss something important in that last 15 minutes that just telling you won't do it justice.
Some higher end vinyl toy companies like KIDROBOT actually design their blind bags to be x-ray proof, and have all the options weigh pretty much the same. It's a kinda brilliant approach.
Yeah I just saw this movie and I will never watch another movie. I'm gonna start tomorrow on making a full size Benny outfit for this summer's con season. And then buy the actual set when it comes out in June.
It takes a bit of practice, but you can feel certain figures pretty easily. Like any of the ones with an odd base, like the mermaids, or dresses are easy. The hardest part is overcoming the shame of fondling blind bags in the toy section.
Yeah.. It's the same story with MLP Blind bags. Or back with Wizkids packs. I fucking HATE the practice of blind purchases.
Like I said earlier, I'll either trade some stuff, or I'll just eBay.
I too am rubbish at feeling things (got four mermaids from series 9 when I wanted none, despite their distinctive tail) and therefore not a fan of blind bags.
Which is why I like Kre-os blind bags because they all come with a code on the back that lets you know which figure is inside. Which is how I own all the Transformers I want and actually have doubles of the ones I want to have multiples of.

Oh yeah, all the blind bags have codes on them (something anything CCG based wouldn't dare do), but most of the time they are done in ways that make it impossible to be sure. If I felt I could read/skim the blind bags reliably with a cheat sheet and not feel like a weirdo (or worse with MLP), then I would totally do that.

Kre-o's have a code?
I only get the Gi joe kre-0 and a few of the transformers
I might get the d&D ones to see what it's all about and then continue my campaign of harassment on facebook about they should have a Tiamat or Beholder in Kre-0 you would be silly to pass on those

Yeah they have a code on the top at the back somewhere, usually its at the top but sometimes on the side. Its normally about 7 numbers, the first five are always the same and the last two change depending on what figure is inside.
So in the following picture we can see the code is 30751 69. 69 means Arcee, 67 is Bombshell 74 is Perceptor etc. Its a great system that allows people to get what figures they want and kreo also use it on their GI Joe line
So I don't have to be the dumb ass fondling bling bags for the figures I want
Now I feel stupid as I wasted a lot of time looking for the Gorn for Star Trek

That is literally the definition of insane right there. For eff's sake, if you're gonna make Spartan armor why not make something that is still awesome and looks good once the novelty wears off?

Someone made a halo pistol out of Lego and it looked cool.

Saw this today and fucking loved it. Also I know its going to look awesome on my TV when it comes out on blu-Ray. It feels like one of those movies that will show off a set real nice. Like Pacific Rim.
So The LEGO Movie was number one this week, for the third time in a row, and its worldwide gross is now 275 Million dollars.
Its budget was 60 million.
This movie is making an insane profit.
Really makes me wonder what the movie is going to pull in from the merch. Cause I know I spent more on a couple of lego sets then I did on the ticket to see the movie.

made me laugh a lot
I kind of really want it, but I also need to lease a new car this year and finish paying my school loans, so you know, priorities.
That shit isn't going to matter one bit when your LEGO villages are overrun by the minions of Gozer!
I was quite impressed with the packaging on the BTTF set, so I can see why it'd be more expensive.
That seems... oddly reasonable for LEGO pricing.
Yeah. I thought it was gonna be way more than that.
Uh
You missed the twist that ties it all together
The stinger is the dad tells the kid that now that he can play down here, his sister will be able to play too, and the kid looks scared. Cuts to the lego world and some duplos warp in and in a toddler's voice say "we are the duplos and we are gonna destrooyyy youuu"
Is that a real thing
Because I don't want to believe anyone would make something that rad

Which one, there are 3 mechs that I know of, 2 of which already have sets and the third one will be getting a set later this year
Is there... is there a picture

So damned jealous. I think I'm at about 15+ blind bags and 9-10 figures.
But that would look really weird bringing a gram scale to weigh out blind bag figures
Like I said earlier, I'll either trade some stuff, or I'll just eBay.
I'm crazy, not suicidal.
I think you mean crazy, not dedicated.

Why I fear the ocean.
Nah
Just the Legos were missing

I can tell you right now that's not the same mech that appears in the film. It's much smaller.
