Dancey Song - what is it?

Main refrain is wooo - oooo... woo-ooo, in a sorta female voice, kinda like a higher pitched male singing it... I heard it twice recently and need to hear it to get it out of my head. It was at an elementary school dance and at Best Buy... The song before I heard this one at Best Buy was a strange opera type song that I can't get out of my head either, hoping they are by the same artist.

Maybe it's the one used in Kill Bill? Do they play guitars?

You can listen to the beginning at amazon.

it's the one titled "Woo Hoo"

I know its vague and its none of those... its new tho, cuz I hadn't heard it before the last few weeks. Its more of a dance song. Yes they say whoo ooo a lot.... like, the first whoo starts high and ends a bit lower, and the second starts a bit lower and ends higher.

That sounds an awful lot like Song 2 by Blur...
Try singing it into a mic and posting it for us?

    Song 2 isn't dancey, I reckon :P

Maybe it's Panic! At the Disco? They are big on the woo hoo-ing and they're popular enough.

High pitched and dancey? Try Justin Timberlake's new album.

Nah its more of a Techno song than KT Tunstalls Black Horse and Cherry Tree... arrgh this is drivin me nuts... Sorry my info is so god damned vague, if it wasn't I'd be doing lyric searches via Google.

Anyone know a recent song that has operatic sequences similar to No More I Love You's by Annie Lennox...? (This is a different song than the wooo oo).

How about Gwen Stefani - The Sweet Escape? It starts out with a bunch of woos and keeps the theme.

My best guess is "diamonds and guns" by the transplants. Not very techno-y, but if you just heard the beginning then you might think that.

It could be dozen other songs, but the OP already figured out which one it was.
