because those stats are the kind of stats I intend to have on my next computer and such a day would mean me having to build/upgrade my computer.

When are you getting this computer, five or ten years from now? 16GB on a gaming machine is excessive and when a game requires it in the distant future RAM will be even cheaper than it is now. GPUs, too.
