Can you name the easiest deck building game you have ever played?

I need a way of simplifying deck building. Simpler than Pokemon. If you know a game that is wicked easy but still requires the player to build a deck could you talk about it here? I would appreciate it.
@Ga1Friday is the twitter account I use to talk about everyday things. Sometimes work things. Lots of work things.

Depending on what type of deck building game you are looking for, there are non-collectible type deck building games that play like a CCG but are packaged like a board game, they don't involve buying boosters or starters or anything, it's just what comes in the box. Some will have expansions that allow you to add more cards and normally also allow more players. Here are a couple that I'm familiar with, I find Ascension is a bit easier to learn but Dominion has more replay value and play combinations:

Yeah, Ascension is super-easy, but Dominion is a way better game.
Thunderstone, Resident Evil (the card game), Rune Age, and Puzzle Strike are also options. Thunderstone is probably the most complicated of that bunch, and Puzzle Strike doesn't play very well with two people.
I played .hack for a bit. It was really simple and straight-forward. Couldn't comment on the quality as I only played a played against my brother--he was into it and I wanted to share a hobby with him, and I love ccgs--and after I beat him in every single game he gave up and we stopped buying.
I think we're seeing a problem in terminology here. "Deck building" games typically refer to games where the deck is created during the game, as opposed to a game like Pokemon or .hack, where the deck is constructed beforehand (generally called a CCG). GalFriday, which type are you referring to?

They probably don't even make them anymore.
