I just went on a rad adventure of randomness that as fueled by my need for sustenance at a late night hour. It started with me NEEDING beef jerky of the spicy variety, so I left home to get some. Outside the rain was finally coming to an end after hours of a steady downpour onto my area. As I made my way down the quiet, sleeping city I live in I found that the rains had flooded some of the side streets.
Being as I am hyper, easily excitable, and amused by the simplest of things I quickly made a sliding u-turn for my new watery playground I had just discovered. These massive ponds and puddles proved to be quite amusing to power my Jeep through again and again, kicking up massive curtains of water on either side of me.
As I jumped from puddle to puddle I noticed that I had made my way with in viewing distance of the Bass Pro shop. As I gazed upon the well lit Christmas display that covered the property of the Bass Pro I began to come to a realization. Just beyond the store lays a muddy and rock dotted playground that needed to be taught a serious lesson. Quickly I made my way to this dirty promise land of 4x4 glory and began to tackle it with all my furry!
These small off road parks randomly lay across the area but non with in a city of my size provide as much fun as this one. It sits atop a tall hill with a very rutted and washed out jeep trail that gets close to a 35% grade on the up hill. This trail into the park is a good 300 yards long and once atop this hill you can drive into a bowl of mud, large rock outcrops, and many articulation tests. I spent the better part of an hour playing in the muck as the distant storms on the horizon provided me with a healthy lightning storm which matched well with the blaring score of 80's rock and pop music that was screaming from my radio.
Finally content with my Jeep's new brown paint job I made my way down the mountain and into the parking lot of the nearest Quick Trip where I obtained my victory feast of spicy beef jerky which I am chewing on now as I sit here and type this account of my tiny, random, yet highly fun adventure at midnight.
So tell me, what kind of late night randomness do any of you partake in that doesn't involve something on a video game? I want to hear about all your travels whether they be mundane trips to Waffle House, or epic battles with aliens and the CIA at Roswell. Type away my fellow travelers, speak now of your grand adventures and what treasures you reap of them!

But was there a swingset? And did you swing on it?
Yeah, I was the same way in college and later when I was deployed. I rarely had the means to enjoy it, though, so it amounted to a lot of walking around the city at night. It was still pretty fun, though. On one of these adventures, my best friend at the time climbed a drain pipe on the side of the Richmond courthouse. It was pretty entertaining to watch.
Yes there was one I passed, no I did not as it was wet and didn't want to get my butt damp.
That's what she said.
My friends and I used to make random adventures at the night. Mostly we would explore abandoned places or do long distant bike rides or even trek out into the woods or find a cave. We also would host late night jousting matches with shipping carts in the Walmart parking lots and isles in the store or use our androids to play Zombie, Run!

They all involve smoking weed.
Some of them involve eating.
Bah! I say take advantage of swing sets when you're alone because that's the only time you don't look like a weirdo on them.
Swings at night give me the creeps.
I need to find another fucking job.
You must work in the hotel industry! I used to do that for a living and now I am the platinum level member that yells at you and rapes you in your hotel's survey.
It is soul-crushing.
What state and tribe? Oh god... not one of those South Dakota reserves I hope.
Wish I was in Busan again. There were 24/7 arcades there and plenty of places that stayed open all night. In Portland? Not so much. Just the 7/11s. At 4 AM the trains start running and I can go out to the airport for a Shari's that's open all night.
Is it still late/ really early for you?
Oh no, I'm on one of the Mohawk reservations up in Quebec.
Oh.... you're in America's hat, neat. :P
I really know nothing of those reservations up there. I only know about the ones here in Oklahoma and then the ones that are out of Oklahoma that I have driven through.
Sounds like she just tore some shit up without any sanction whatsoever.
mmhm
Pretty much
Destruction of public or private property is one of the main reasons groups call for the closure of actual four wheel parks and trails.
Makes life shitty for those of us who put the time and effort to enjoy four wheeling responsibly.
read through and notice the context: playground wouldn't be muddy, they all use rubber, woodchips, sand whatever. it has whatever articulation tests are? doesn't sound like a regular park or anything. it sounds like she honestly was on a 4 wheel park or whatever they are, why are you guys talking like she committed some kind of offense?
screw it, I don't know what's going, just people stop being mad
Oh hey cool, I have a lot of relatives who work in tribal government/affairs shit, which makes sense since I grew up on the reservation!
The nice PNW-style reservation, though, not one of the really super depressing midwest ones. We have casinos and health care systems and shit. It owns.
but the tear shit up attitude is one that is prevalent among off-roaders and is incredibly damaging to the environment and rude as hell to boot
so in closing
u mad bro
u mad
ok, I'm getting it now, you were talking about someone else's post. yea, sorry, just confused

Mostly I forum, watch movies a bit and have late night snacks. It is uh, relaxing I guess.
