Yeah, gonna use club garage if I make it this week. I could afford one of those cars, but just one and it'd be all the money I have, and I'm not doing that for a car I don't care about.
Last week you guys mentioned the free versions of the car packs that at least let you see what other people are racing, rather than the black Jettas.
Where the hell are they? I don't see them on the marketplace.
its easier to find them in-game by going to marketplace on the main menu and then go to cars and then select whichever cars from the packs are free which will download the whole pack (but not unlock the other 9 cars)
It features new calculations, new interface, grip and drift suspension tunes along with the gearing helper that have all been optimized for Forza 4. I've been using the old Forza 2/3 version of ForzaTune to do quickie tunes for cars and it's worked really well, so if you're looking for a little help in the tuning and gearing department, this is a great app to have.

I used to use those calculators in excel spreadsheets, but then I took an arrow to the knee but then I just took the guidelines it gave me and built on them without the calculator. Now I can tell what a car's tune should be from the weight and distribution, in addition to how I want it to handle.
Autocross gets more positive toe and stiffer springs/rebound/bump for the agility and occasionally useful instability and oversteer, but in any other mode everything is softer to keep me from dying.

If you can. I went ahead and bought the Maserati, since I like my cars a bit on the batshit insane side of the tuning spectrum and I didn't want to ruin anyone else with my horrid tendencies.

Alright guys. I'm going to be totally serious here.
The only way any of us are going to survive with these fucking deathtraps is if we are INCREDIBLY GENTLE with the throttle. These cars are extremely lightweight and very powerful for the class they are in - it's difficult to get slicks onto any of them, and most are dealing with sport tires.
This Mach 5 Joolander sent me is tuned so fucking heavily for stability at this point that it's hard to get it out of shape - but if you get it above 40% throttle in any but the gentlest, flattest turn, the ass end is going to FLY OUT like a fucking trebuchet's counterweight.
Didn't have time to do anything with it but tonights Le Mans replay is on my storefront. Bast asked for it but isn't on my friends list so I can't gift it.
if by the 250 you mean the 250 in the club garage that we drove to great sucess on maple valley last month, that was a pain in the ass because the tune was fucking AWFUL
also my D-type has better scores in every category than Stew's nancy-boy Aston :P
Ok, added the race transmission, dropped HP by a bit, but also dropped weight, and was able to keep handling the same.
Works pretty well now, if anyone wants to give it a shot...
I put a drivable 250 TR in the club garage, I have the DBR1 and could get the other 2 pretty easily
This is off topic, but I was apart of this 15 week project for a class of mine. I did the rendering from the Autodesk Maya with mental ray:

Oh God, inverse kinematics for the arms. That's ... not optimal.
Cute concept though. I miss the power of mental ray, although I probably wouldn't remember half of it now if I used it.
if you guys think this is stupid let me know but heres the Christmas week race info:

Bast, I'll be there with bells on. Having the week off work means both a) I can actually play until that time of night and not have to worry about early mornings and b) I won't already be sick to death of driving. . .
I really need to find work close to home, or a home closer to work. . .

I've done Star in a Reasonably Priced car a lot! But it only gets 25K a race. :P

As long as you are OK with a 3-4 lap Nurbergring Full race...

like I mentioned in the OP most if not all of those cars are in the club garage so no
Edit: Yeah your OP is wrong. I'm looking at the garage now. The only B class 50s roadster up there is the Testa Rossa Mach5 by Joolander.

a 1958 Aston Martin DBR1 painted like the Shooting Star
also I actually tuned the Mach 5 now (along with this one) so they should be at least drivable
Was busy all weekend. I'll put my DBR1 up tonight.
If you gift the DBR1 to me, can I gift it back?
If so I'll tune it. And I promise to make it actually stable and not like I actually tune my cars.
sure, as long as I get it back
edit: what the hell, apparently its locked? how do I unlock it?
Can't gift it that way.
Also if it has locked vinyls on it.
and I put all the vinyls on it
LAME
edit: ok I'm looking through my garage, and theres a bunch of cars that I bought with cR that now have present icons on them and I can't gift
so I guess its a weird glitch or something?
want to try with the mach 5 instead?
not a scratch!

I might actually redo the tune, I just went with handling upgrades since I knew the 250 was a pain to drive.
