I got a job that gives me regular paychecks! Hooray! First order of business is a smartphone. Pertinent info: I live in Atlanta, currently have about 8 or 9 months left on a contract with Verizon as part of a family plan. I want a smartphone, and probably my own individual plan. I'm willing to pay the early termination fee to switch carriers if necessary.
I'm leaning toward an iPhone 4S on Sprint for the unlimited data, but I have come to hear your arguments for/against Sprint and the 4S. The camera on the 4S is a big draw for me.
(I already read that other Sprint thread... not a lot of glowing recommendations, but do you think the unlimited data is worth a few dropped calls and eating the fee to terminate with Verizon? I don't know because I've never had a smartphone so I have no idea how much data I will use.)
I know a few people with iPhone 4s's on Sprint and all them get extremely poor download speeds. Like sub 56k. A lot of people I know and myself have other smartphones with Sprint and don't have that problem, even without switching over to 4g. This is around the Chicago area.
