Buying a cheap laptop in the UK

Hi

So, I need a laptop to replace my desktop after moving house and changing jobs.

Now, I don't need a very good laptop. The only games I play on PC are old MMOs like City of Heroes or LOTRO, and oldish turn-based strategy such as Galciv. None of my work stuff is demanding on the computer at all.

So I need a laptop which is:

(a) cheap
(b) has a decent amount of storage - my desktop has a 500gb HD.
(c) decent battery life (I sometimes work in coffee shops) - I can't say a number here because I don't know laptops well enough.
(d) possibly, a TV-out. I have no idea if this is common or not, expensive or not, but it would be useful in our new living situation.

Cheap and battery are the most important of those 4 by far.

Now, I usually live in Japan, where electronics are great but expensive. I'm visiting the UK for a couple of weeks, and with the yen being so strong, and English Windows being standard rather than an upgrade, it makes sense to buy one here.

This is a random laptop at PCworld:

Is that a decent deal? Should I go to PCWorld or avoid it like the plague?

I suppose I'm going to go now and look in CNET's reviews for cheap laptops. Any advice would be most welcome.

I figure I could take a bear.
