Xbox DVD Playback Issue

Problem: Everything works fine (games and whatnot) with my "new" refirb Xbox, but I get very slight verticle lines on the screen only during DVD playback. Is this someting I can fix with just settings, or is this possibly just how Xbox does DVD playback? I have component cables (Monster) which give perfect images for games, and the TV has a fine image otherwise for TV and other consoles. DVD playback isn't the reason I bought this, but it would be nice if I could get rid of the lines since its the only player I have in the basement rec room. Thanks for any help.

Does your TV support progresive scan, if not that may be the problem.

Have a friend bring an xbox over to test with your TV. If the problems goes away, it's the system.
