Setting Goals For Fun and/or Profit

It's that time of year again. When those of us who frequent the gym brace ourselves for another round of "serious, hardcore fitness junkies" who wear planned outfits and carry both their iphone and their ipad to the gym. That's right, it's New Year's resolution time. Most people make a resolution on New Year's because it's the start of a new year and that's as good a time as any to change your life! Well, I'm here to tell you that most people fail miserably in their resolution efforts - some 78% of people who set resolutions fail. The past few years I've been pretty successful in my resolutions - adopt a more professional look with my wardrobe, buy a car, etc... This year, I decided to do something a little different, and I'm hoping a few people from the PA forums (do we have a name for ourselves, here?) will join me.

About a week and a half ago I started a list of 101 goals to accomplish in 1001 days. Have you heard about the Day Zero Project? Check it out! It's a goal setting project online where people create lists of 101 goals they would like to accomplish. Think coming up with 101 things to do is difficult? Check out their website where you can look at their "idea finder" or take a glance at the top 101 goals.

Anyone want to give it a shot with me? Want to get in better shape? Stop eating junk? Save to buy a new car? Why not start today?! If anyone is interested, I'll link to my own list. Or if anyone else is currently doing this, want to link to your list so I know I'm not alone here? Interested in trying it out? Set up a blog or post your list here! Any ideas, tips or tricks to accomplishing goals?

(I know a few people on this forum tried this a few years ago, but I thought I'd make another go at it).

A while back I hated where my life was and where my life was going. Now I'm happily engaged, in the best shape I've been in since high school, have a bunch of wild stories and most importantly I enjoy my life! You can check out what I'm up to next at http://coolbyintent.com/blog
