hell, how did we ?
i was fucking actively laddering during that period and i dont know how we even could bear to play on jungle basin, steppes of war, blistering sands, or scrap station, but fuck if that wasn't 80% of the map pool once upon a time!

I know why I'm in platinum, and its not my fucking macro. I have the worst decision making in the entire world, and I can't micro to save my life, but my macro is FINE.
It's entirely possible you're right.
Narwhal seriously seems to macro at somewhere near a platinum level, but one week ago did not understand the finer points of attacking-instead-of-walking-in-circles during battles.

vileIllusion's stream is a pretty good terran stream.
He speaks english, he builds aren't limited to 2 base all-ins, he doesn't say the word "pwned" out loud, and seemingly doesn't rage. A lot of dubstep music though...

As zerg, holding it isn't hard, but scouting it is. I normally get caught with my pants around my ankles for a 4gate, for a 6/7 gate off two base I tend to be a lot more prepared, cause i've usually stopped droning by then.

Around master's. But then if you look at the replay, you realize that you played well but he was also terrible.
On a side note I bought one of these for someone as a holiday gift recently. You might like one too.
I don't think I actually have any narwhal paraphernalia. Possibly because to me, narwhal is a name that my friends call me by more than it's a whale with a horn sticking out of its face, so I keep forgetting that detail until people bring it up.
Also, everyone said "She 4 gated" so I assumed it was somehow taboo.

4gate is a good skill to have.

Its still really hard to hold unless you have good control. (Which people don't.)

try 5gate! fake it as a 1gate FE by putting the 4th and 5th gates on the lowground.
