Relatively famous tattoo artist + complicated design = expensive but still totally worth it

Downside is that I'm not sure I want anyone else to ink things on me now and she's 3000 miles away

OK here is my deal. I know exactly what I want and I have the money, but I am having trouble figuring out who is very good at this type of thing and will definitely not fuck it up.

Does anyone know of a resource for finding good artists for a specific type of tattoo? Or by chance a good naturalist artist in CO? I want to get Darwin's finches, but every time I look online or go into a shop and ask I get useless information ("Yeah we have a guy that can do that! [shows me shitty samples]). I know people are trying to sell their work but I need an objective opinion yo.
