A friend sent me the link to this article featuring 12 good game ideas : http://www.pointlesswasteoftime.com/games/2010.html

Though surely most of the game ideas aren't very fleshed out ( or even practically impossible for the time being ) , there is plenty to chew on there .

I definitely hope for a few of these games to hit the market , as , for example , Total Kung Fu can't not be made .

    actually, some of those games are looking pretty sweet.

    I wouldn't mind Kill chain, only if it involved gathering up dead bodies a la Katamari Damacy

    The author is SO VERY RIGHT on the super hero brawl game. Property damage. Shit tons of it. I'm also very behind the World of Starcraft notion.

    Hard Cell and Kill Chain are awesome concepts, and should definitely be made.

    Not so sure they need to be so violent though. Couldn't you stop time to set up a chain of events to make something more pleasant happen?

    Also, Superhero Brawl would be sweet.

    Agreed, Kill Chain could be much better made as a more light hearted game.

    Deconstructionist is basically what Rare should be doing with the Blast Corp liscence right damned now.

    It would also work as a future Hitman game. It really didn't sound all that different from the Curtains Down mission in Blood Money where you can
    infiltrate a theatre rehearsing an execution scene, replace the prop gun with a real one to kill one of the actors, then run to plant explosives on the scaffolding so that when the actor dies, a friend of the actor that's in the audience who is also a target gets crushed by falling metal when he checks on his friend.

    EDIT: Also, on that kill chain game.. how are you going to limit the players freedom without making it obvious? Because you'll HAVE to limit them, otherwise they'll just do something to kill their target in one hit.

    Kind of off-topic, but while you guys are over at PWoT, make sure you read John Dies at the End. I just finished it and the sequel a few days ago, and it's the best thing I've ever read.

    Back on topic, I got a kick out of "Whipping Boy". The screenshot is gold.

    Freedom Force is a top down 4squad super hero game that has fully destructible everything. So it isn't the fighting game he wants but it has, to some degree, what he is talking about.
    It was great, chuck cars and use trees like baseball bats. I made a Cyclops that could level an entire city block if positioned correctly. Really damn good game, everyone should look into picking it up.
    This video shows off some great player mods, no buildings getting torn up, though. Thanos vs Galactus at one point. :^:
