I've got an external drive that I backup my files on, but I'm tired of manually transferring new/updated files. I've googled a bit for automatic backup software, but there are so many options to choose from. Does anyone have suggestions on software they use?
If you're using Windows it has an integrated backup utility. In Windows XP it's ntbackup, and can be started from the runbox.
Windows 7 has Backup and Restore (Control Panel>System and Security>Backup and Restore).
I've also used a freeware product called Cobian Backup, but it does pretty much a directory copy style backup (and compresses into zip or 7zip files as well, though that adds a bit of time and CPU usage to the backup task).
