It makes me sick to think that there are kids out there who do not read for pleasure
No I can understand. There was a long period where I didn't read because I had other hobbies instead/class/work and such and reading just didn't fit in.
What makes me sick are the people that don't even respect it. Don't even consider it.
Like on their MySpace under Books, they'll put "lol who waists there time reading books lol"

Well, work and class is understandable
but if you spend none of your free time on reading you're a fucking husk of a real person

like a short history of nearly everything is probably my favourite book
which is why i am trying to read notes from a small island again
but at the same time i am also meaning to read collapse by jared diamond and philosophical investigations by wittgenstein
but i don't really spend much time looking at the words on the pages of any of them
I've never read a single Bill Bryson book. I walk past A Short History of Nearly Everything every day in the science section and I want to read it but then I don't. (good story huh)
t Forever Zero: go for American Gods first. I have heard Good Omens is good, but not amazing.

Reading for enjoyment has to be implanted at a young age.. alot of people I know who don't read use the excuse that they can't because thier mind just drifts and its painful for them. This probably comes from not using that part of the brain, or you know, your imagination for any length of time. People who put down reading are complete asshats I agree, but most of the time its just a cowards reaction toward thier own ineptitude.
As for what I'm Reading?
A Feast for Crows, Book four of A song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin. You might have heard of it.
Next im on to either Cell by Stephen King or Shadowmarch by Tad Williams. I might go the King route just for a change of pace, but we'll see.

No, I just made a comment on your strange insistance on using spelling that is not of your dialect.

Not here, it is just an odd characteristic that TFS exhibits occasionally.

Actually I've been thumbing through Zack Parsons' book a bit. Yet another way to learn how lucky we are that Hitler was wasteful as all hell and had no idea how to generate proper war effort.

My friend is supposed to give me the first book in that series. He keeps forgetting to bring it though. I hear it's a good series.
