He'd still get a ring, but I'm sure he'd also love to actually play in the Super Bowl
Underwood would have undoubtedly been inactive for the Superbowl even if he hadn't been cut. The newly signed guy is there for Special Teams.
Word is that they were holding onto Underwood to play in case Gronkowski's ankle wasn't okay this week, and held onto him until the last minute so the Giants couldn't sign him right before the Superbowl and pump him for information.
I think it looks a lot worse than it is. I can't fault a team for doing as much as it can to do what they think they need to win.

He's there for more than special teams. He's there for 4 man fronts.
Tiquan Underwood has been active for 8 or more games this year, so he gets a ring and the money should the Pats win, per the new CBA.
Also, according to Schefter, Peyton Manning is willing to reconstruct his contract to have no guaranteed money up front, one that is incentive laden with bonuses.

Kc hired terrible shitty dolphins douchebag as the oc.
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
Join me in drinking to run, run, pass, punt next season? Of course with our QB I don't care who you put in as OC.
The more I think about it, I guess I don't completely hate the hire. He got 1000 yards out of Reggie Bush, 1200 yards from Marshall, and from what I've read Dolphins fans liked the guy.
I'm worried that he's Todd Haley 2.0 though. He has a reputation for being a hot head, and apparently he was a jackass to Colt McCoy in Cleveland. Hopefully Zorn stays around as quarterback coach.
I liked the idea of hiring Al Saunders, but he's 65 and how much longer is he going to coach? Brian Daboll is 36 and at some point, we need to start developing coaches as well.
Crennel is 64, he'll probably have 3 or so seasons to right the ship. If he doesn't, everyone will probably get canned/retire and we'll be back at square one.
I'm not sure I understand Stafford for comeback poty. He had his first solid season. What did he come back from?
I had the same thought about Stafford.
He got hurt twice in the 2010-11 season, getting hurt in the first game, returning at the end of October, and wound up being out for that entire season after Nov. 7, 2 games after his return re-aggravating the injury
The fact that he did this well after a season where he only played three times, yeah I'd say that's worthy of at least the top third in Comeback Player of the Year

It's 11:50 here, and I started the day with a little hair of the dog.
Drinking rules don't apply on Super Bowl Sunday.
x2, the Pro Bowl is bullshit. They could bring back the skills competitions, I loved those things when they did them before. LOVED
I had the same thought about Stafford.
Stupid psychological thing. I'm already unemployed and living off them (though I give them as much money as I can thanks to the state).
Drink some beers with your dad

The Quarterback Competition is still one of the coolest things that the NFL Network replays.
Never mind, then!
