That uh, sorta implies continuity between the awesome tumblr and the uhhh videos. And it implies lasting damage between them, so; how's he gonna do a RD video?
what, people are complaining again? This is getting ridicules.
Maybe we should all write thank you emails to the staff after every episode just to counter the whining horde
that's... actually not a bad idea.
Really, how many people talk about the effect of the nosiy bad apples but don't actually do anything to counter?
I'm on board with this idea. Who do I write to?
Best way I can think of is a shared card kind of dealie, the logistics of which would be horrendous. Unless we were to use iSketch (or that kind of online program). Create a passworded room or something and leave it up until the Wednesday or Thursday before the next episode. Anyone from here can go in, write a short message (a thank you or a quick list of favourite bits) or a small sketch.
Then someone saves the whole thing in a decent resolution, and packs it off to one of the show artists with a politely worded statement of purpose and request to disseminate it throughout the studio.
I'm at work right now, so I can't really scout any good sites for this kind of thing. If no-one else has by the time I get home, I'll look into it.
I'd also be down for this. Was going to write a letter of thanks and telling them how much easier it made it for me and my daughter to have this to watch together while I was deployed, but I'd rather it be with a group thing.
Hmmm, Hasbro must be on their game. Already taking down youtube vids of the latest episodes.
But for some reason the down'd episodes still work on my phone.
That's weird. I thought they were letting the YouTube uploads be for the most part.
They've started taking them down, sadly.
It's still quite easy to watch episodes online, but Hasbro is definitely sending a message.
As soon as uk itunes has the episodes up I'll be buyin' them.
Such sweeps have happened several times before, but by unaffiliated people calling themselves "Hasbro" in reports to Youtube instead of actually being the company itself.
That said, it's bound to happen eventually, especially after they manage to get multiple DVDs to market.

Kind of a shame, though. It's a great way to get some fairly easy (and free!) marketing.
This whole brony phenomenon was basically free marketing. But now that they are putting episodes out on the market we should do our best to support them.
Nope. Still not regretting buying Season 1 off iTunes during their sale.
YouTube plays it very safe with videos, so it's easy to get something taken down. The onus is on the video owner to get it restored; Youtube doesn't ask much of the person making the claim.

I didn't know there was ever a sale. How much was it going for?

I'm going through the options I've found thus far. iScribble is temporarily out due to them disallowing users with gmail accounts at current, and I apparently have to update flash to check out iSketch. if anyone knows of some others, please post them.

$40 for Season 1 in HD before Jan. 4th. Apparently when you buy the HD version you also get the SD versions. Really cool of them.

I've got no problem supporting Hasbro. I've been waiting for a DVD release so I can go buy some. But with how integral YouTube has been to their current popularity, I would expect somebody at Hasbro to ask, "Hey, guys, is this really a great idea?"
One thing I actually really liked about this episode was how it went with the common message; "read because it's good in its own right" rather than the more common (and wierdly hypocritical) "read because TV IZ TEH DEVULZ" angle.

They probably have to make a show of taking down videos to appease dimwitted investors.
It's a delicate balancing act, making a token effort big enough that it looks like trying, but small enough that it doesn't piss off fans.

I don't see anything wrong with taking down the older episodes, from YouTube and other such places.
People getting pissy over it don't seem to realise (at least in my view) that it can't stay free forever.
YouTube plays it very safe with videos, so it's easy to get something taken down. The onus is on the video owner to get it restored; Youtube doesn't ask much of the person making the claim.
There's playing it safe, and then there's what YouTube does; it has no accountability on this issue, it lets anyone make the claim of being a copyright holder, or representing that holder, without any credentials. And then the process for restoring a removed video is lengthy and arduous, on the part of the uploader. This results in an environment where trolls can just report shit freely.

One of the guys who does pony remixes had this happen when someone reported one of his videos for copywrite violation using the dude's own name.

Watch it happen!
Gonna call dream sequence on that, but then I realized what had happened to Applebloom in the latest .mov.
I guess there will never be a Swag.mov
Nah, there will be
Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my OW!
Twice?
I just assumed that it'll either take place before shed.mov or Spike will be the new RD, as someone mentioned before.

Okay, I got distracted on other things, but this one turned out to be a single user for free, and multi users for increasing amounts of dosh.
Stupid iscribble not accepting gmail
You tried flockdraw? I think flockdraw is a thing.
Seems like the kind of thing you are looking for, though I can't speak for the quality of the output.
At work right now, I'll set up something when I get home (5am eastern), unless someone else feels like doing it first.

Also, I kinda want a PMV of this now...

can you own a rainbow?
Yes. Yes you can.
I like how the guy on the right doesn't look nearly as enthused as his friends to be photographed next to a giant snow pony.

I'm jealous that they actually have snow.
