It's (been) back! Yes the ratings still suck but, unlike The Office, the show is still damn funny. There have been plenty of guest stars so far, including a recurring role for Kelsey Grammer. And, after earlier hinting that he'd leave 30 Rock after season 6, Alec Baldwin has now stated he'll stay on for two more years if the show continues.

Is anybody else keeping up with its sixth and possibly final season?

Requisite Hulu link. Seasons 1-5 are streaming on Netflix.

I watch it. Still an awesome show.

I don't actually find it funny anymore, but I keep watching it because I like the characters.

That's weird, I've loved every episode of this season so far.
Jewish dad: And Tracy, I'd hate for people to realize that your "charity" is just a front that has done nothing to make this country safer from Godzilla attacks.
Tracy: If anything I've increased the likelihood!

This, along with the fact that I watch the entire Thursday block on NBC.

I like 30 Rock, but at this point I would gladly sacrifice it for another season of Community or Parks and Rec.

And I would gladly, happily, joyously sacrifice The Office for another season of Community/Parks And Rec/30 Rock.

Although, I think Community and 30 Rock are at biggest risk of getting canceled and, with six seasons already under 30 Rock's belt, I'd rather they give us more Community.

30 Rock feels like it's lost a great deal, but Alex Baldwin and Tina Fey are just so damned good together. The show could afford to lose just about everyone else, just those two against the world. When they give Alec Baldwin good material (especially his negotiation against himself) it's genius.

Yeah, the Kenneth character used to have some really funny stuff, but he and the rest of the cast serve as filler for Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin now. Tracy and Jenna had some great stuff this past episode though.

The Office should have ended when Pam gave birth. Move Erinn to Parks & Rec.

I don't mind where they have gone with Jack. The Tracy transformation has been the most jarring I think. Tracy in season one and two was incredible. he's still funny now, but in a completely different way. I had hoped after he EGOT'd he might go back to being the superstar from the early seasons, but it hasn't changed anything. :(

The last episode made me laugh heartily and often. Not sure if the show is made for the hour long format though. I'll also agree Tracy seems more and more out of place. I'm not sure what has changed but his comedic timing is just so weird, and then he pulls a stupid face every time.

Still. "Prepare for the adventure of a lifetime, and then when we're done watching Fievel in the Wild West we'll get you laid" was an amazing line.

I thought the last episode was pretty decent also. It wasn't amazing but I laughed quite a bit. Whoever reviewed it for the AV Club pretty much hated it though.

I'm just drawn to strong business types, Jack keeps me watching this, while Robert California keeps me on the office.

I miss when Jack was still this perfect embodiment of a classic elitist executive. Once the character started moving away from that, I lost interest. I didn't even watch the whole first pr this season, and did not enjoy the last season or the season before it.
Yeah, Jack as corporate alien was definitely the funniest Jack. I'm not even sure why I still watch this show.

The office is nowhere near its original heights, but it still makes me laugh, at least. Community and Parks and Rec are the only good comedies on tv now, IMO.

I'm not sure how much I agree with this but the situation you are describing reminds me of what they seem to be doing to that new guy on the office: the one that applied to be manager and that is now Andy's superior. He was so great in his uncomfortable weirdness, and now I feel like they are just fleshing him out way too fast, which sucks because he's pretty much he only thing I like on that show now. Well, there's Mindy Kaling, but that's different. I would probably watch Glee if Mindy Kaling was on it.

yeah i'm pretty sure they did, Dick Wolf alone isn't a name I think the writers would have found funny except with the PA tie in.......

I'm going to guess the Dick Wolf reference has absolutely nothing to do with Penny Arcade.

The "annoyed/a Noid" reference was golden though. "...some sort of pizza demon."

Dick Wolf is the name of the creator/producer of Law & Order and Miami Vice and a myriad of other shows.

I think there's still a reasonable probability that the joke also references Penny Arcade. Saying that "Dick Wolf" is offensive isn't very funny without the PA tie-in.

I dunno, the Smodcast guys went on about Dick Wolf's name for a while vis a vis boners and didn't mention PA at all.
