Prepositions are the things you should not end sentences with.
And all I can do is read a book to stay awake. And it rips my life away, but it's a great escape.

Everquest may be going free to play, but the "Gold*" subscription is 14.99 a month. Yes, a 13 year old MMO full subscription is the same price as say, SW:TOR. I understand what an incentive Free-to-Play system is like, but that's a little ridiculous.
*GOLD Highlights include: Access to more than 4 races and classes (16 total in game of each), Spell Access beyond Rank 1, Prestige Item Usage, the ability to send, Shared Bank slots, Progression Server Access, Customer Service beyond the Knowledge Base (excepting transaction-based issues), and no in-game advertising (which even Silver at 5/mo will have).
jackalFuck Yes. That is an orderly anal warehouse.Registered Userregular
I still haven't tried a free to play game that wasn't more expensive than $15 once you hit the end game if you didn't want to be terribly crippled. Fuck F2P.

There's some decent F2P games, like League of Legends or TF2 (sans crates and impulse buys) that don't require monetary investment for player success.

I had fun with Spiral Knights for a month before reaching for my credit card. So, basically I agree with jackal. Except "fuck f2p," because I don't regret the transaction.
Dungeon Fighter Online was great F2P until about level 35ish, where the dungeons became very difficult to solo and the consumable items you could buy from vendors were no longer sufficient.
Hasn't EQ2 been F2P for years?

It appears that on the map of what countries will be allowed to play TERA, China has sunk into the ocean. Also, Iraq, Syria, and some other Mid-East countries that are hard to make out in the teeny graphic.

I don't play it because it's still Everquest and gawdawful.
Now, if DAOC were to go free...

Though, UO is still around too, and not F2P oddly enough.

Probably the only way I would get a Platinum Trophy or 1000/1000 for Achievements.
Yeah, but you'll be dead, because the last achievement is the David Carradine Ironman Challenge.

Under the weight of all that unused gold, presumably.
