not sure I liked how Jeff and Vinny joked about Thomas ever since that crossdressing reveal? but eh.

I think they adjust pretty well to it after a while? It is kind of an unexpected thing in the game to be sure.

yeah, it was. kinda appreciated that there were times when Jeff was trying to be nice about it and not joking,
mentioning how there were transgender themes approached, mentioned it would be proper to use she as a pronoun
not sure if Thomas was just a crossdresser or actually transsexual, but I did like that Jeff was thinking about it

I don't think they ever address that issue in the game, really. It's left kinda vague.

It sounds like they were relying heavily on ads and subscriptions, and neither of those really added up to enough to make them successful. I guess subs were the reason they were able to stay independent for this long.

It was kind of sweet the way the characters (I think the rich guy?) referred to Thomas as one of the girls without sarcasm or irony. I do get the impression, though, that Thomas is just a gay transvestite, not a transgender person, but I think someone can be honestly ignorant of that distinction if it's never been a prevalent theme in their life to any extent.

There is a pretty sweet moment with Thomas at the end there, which I think implies that
    she's supposed to be transgendered

But it's never explicitly stated as far as I remember. Not that it really needs to be. It's certainly handled way better than most games handle that sort of thing, I think!

It sounds like they were relying heavily on ads and subscriptions, and neither of those really added up to enough to make them successful. I guess subs were the reason they were able to stay independent for this long.

Well, they were basically using googleads for revenue and not actually making advertising deals.

That's another thing that sort of bums me out about this whole deal

they went out and tried to make an independent video game website without a large corporate overlord

and it failed, because they couldn't make enough money

I'm sure the site and the gang will all be fine, but it still feels a bit like a failure to me

it's more polite to say a transgendered person rather than a transgender

They'll be able to make way more money if they can get their hands on the CBS/Gamespot sponsors. So I'm really hoping they'll be able to hold on to exactly what they got going, but just add money.

I think that's what they're hoping as well (and that's probably what CBSi told them...), but I just don't see it lasting too long. I think things will be better for awhile since it was pretty obvious the business end of it was weighing things down, but CBSi will want to mess with it to get more money at some point.

If I remember correctly Thomas joins the rest of the female cast as a woman in the afterlife at the end of the game.

    Not really, I don't think.
Because in the very very end after the credits in the actual afterlife (not just the forest), they're together in the diner, and Thomas is still a man in his police uniform. In the forest, they just had him in his dress, and even then he didn't have the wig.

Were they working on part time jobs to begin with?

Man, that's hard to believe. I make more than that and I feel broke all the time. I was suspecting they made at least 40k.

If that was true for some reason then a new job might be the best thing for him. He's a smart guy and I don't doubt his presence in the industry would go unnoticed to potential employers.

That said, I'd rather work a job I love for 20k than a really shitty one for 50.
