Glass vessel sink drain

Does anyone know how to remove the cap of a glass vessel sink drain so I can unclog it? Is there some trick? Does it even come off? I tried unscrewing it...but it hasn't budged and I don't want to risk breaking something without getting more information first. Hopefully someone has experience with this because google is not doing me any favors.

Do you know the brand/model of the sink that you have installed in your house? That could help an awful lot when it comes to finding a manual of some sort.

When the sink is installed, usually there's the option of making the drain plug removable or not - the lever that's stuck through it under the counter can be set either way.

I've seen bottles of drain cleaner that come with a plastic snake for pulling out gunk. Could give that a try.

Check under the sink. You can probably disconnect something so that you can just pull the plug out from the top.
