Posts
Hey scccsscsc, do you ever post your new comic you slaved over, see all of these guys tear it to pieces, and then think about completely destroying the forums?

It died because the CFO lied about our money situation for 10 consecutive months instead of letting the CEO do anything about it.
Plus the CEO was busy banging the marketing girl and his secretary, so... anyway.
The people who OWNED the company, before they put the CEO in charge, asked me to help develop a system to minimize clicks on checkout.
The fewer clicks for checkout, the faster your checkout, the less likely you'll lose your internet customer. s'truth.
Got it down to four; three for a returning customer, five if you had to use Verified by Visa or Mastercode.
Its an interesting read if one is curious as to why a lot of websites make checking out so dang confusing. Which leads to the whole software patenting issue and yadda yadda.
anyway, i like having a shopping cart on my online orders. gives me that chance to change my mind at the last second when i realize i can't afford it.
And unless I win the Mega Millions today, I will probably hold off on the purchase of a PS3 for another year or two.
I honestly can't wait for this generation's Tenchu. I think Assassin's Creed might be the one to look out for.
I've never actually purchased anything from the store, but downloading free stuff is super easy. You just click "gimme" and away it goes.
I've sat there a couple of times and thought about buying Flow but the thought of entering my credit card and billing info with their horrible text interface always stops me.
Hey at least they aren't doing retarded "M$ Bux" or shit like that. They could have easily replaced this comic with someone buying TV shows or music from the MS store. "Hey I'd like to buy a song please".. "Ok give me $5"... "but the song is only 99 cents"... "I know, give me $5"... "Ok here's $5.." "Ok here's your song, enjoy"... "But, where's my change?" "You don't get change". etc.etc...
Or they could just develop a different system that allows for one click shopping.
I'm not saying it's easy to do, just that Amazon patened that one particular method, not the entire concept of ordering online with a single mouseclick.
I laughed more than at the original comic. Well done.
looks like PA already fucked up the server the link was to
anyone know what it was about?
edit: Google Cache to the rescue
I like the upside-down mouth.
Awwwww, thanks!
Yeah, I think the double-kills and the timed-stab thing for bonus points are a definite improvement. In the previous Tenchu, you were basically encouraged to skip the stealth-kill animations because all you got for watching them (aside from getting to watch a cool animation) was extra time standing out in the open, unable to control your character. In this one, you can get extra scrolls, which translate to extra "ninjitsu techniques" or whatever they call them, but you have to time the button-presses. This adds a visceral touch, in that you're pressing Attack right when your ninja stabs someone, but also it adds a timing element and makes you choose between trying the timing puzzle for extra credit, or sacrificing the chance at the extra credit just to get the kill faster and get out of sight.
What I really didn't like was the combat. Ayame fights a little better than in the previous game, and Rin is, like, worse than Tesshu. Maybe if you get all the techniques, it's not this way, but as it is I was really, really missing Rikimaru. I think that the problem is just that their base move sets (especially Rin's base move set) are just slow and short range and not very powerful. The last few bosses are also just fucking ridiculous.
But then on the up side, the branching mission structure with different goals and secret ways to unlock the different versions of the levels are really cool. The presentation as a 70s TV series is really nice, and the fact that you alternate characters on each level is great, since that basically means you don't have to play as Rin for too long at a stretch.
I am really looking forward to Assassin's Creed. I have my reservations, as always, because that's how I am, but combining some fairly simple (if overhyped) crowd-based stealth concepts in with Prince of Persia's movement and some considerably more open environments (thanks largely to new hardware) should be really good. I am honestly suspicious about the crowd reacting to the player when he does "eye-catching" shit like climbing up the sides of buildings, but overall I think that the gameplay will probably be solid, even though the marketing is likely to accentuate bullshit features like "people point at you and go 'ooh what's he doing' when you climb walls."
No. Tenchu is about running up on stuff and stabbing the shit out of it. Metal Gear Solid is about tranquing people and stuffing them in lockers. Did you even do your homework before posting?
I usually go through without killing anybody if I can help it. And if I'm going to kill someone, it's usually going to be done with a silenced pistol or a sniper rifle. If I'm close enough to melee, I'll generally just choke them unconscious, or throw them on the ground and point a gun at them.
