Question for anyone who has taught community education classes. These are the same classes that adults take like "learn word 2007 basic" etc etc that your local city offers you. Does anyone have any experience for those who have done it? Do you get all/portion of the fees for a class or is it purely volunteer? Looking for some potential side cash possibilities.

I taught beginner's Japanese for about a year and a half and ultimately decided it wasn't for me, but I'd guess it depends on the organization you teach with. The one I taught for gave me a check for about $350 at the end of the 8-week session, with classes being held once a week.
And it seems like all is dying, and would leave the world to mourn

Do you have to have any qualifications beyond say knowing your subject? That check, compared to how much they charged for classes, was what portion of the full amount?
