So, I was lying in bed last night and I had vague memories of a graphic novel / comic book I had when I was a young 'un. It was a big hardcover thing, and the storyline went something like:
People recover spaceship from distant alien civilisation, find dead crew.
People decipher the archive of data in the spoaceship.
Archive contains the story of civilastion on the planet the ship was from.
the civilastion consisted of 3 nations, a 'Good' technologically advanced nation, a 'bad' tech advanced civ and a 'barbarian' civilisation.
The bad invaded the good, some of the good dudes fled into the barbarian lands.
The barbarians are actually pretty cool, and with the help of the refugees from the 'good' civ build up an army and airforce to fight off the bad dudes.
Later in the book they go to their planet's moon, and find mind controlled giant monsters (or something)
This is basically the book that made me fall in love with Sci-fi and everything that goes with it.
Anyone help me out and tell me what I'm talking about?
