So I downloaded a patch for a game and attempted to install it using InstallShield and received the following error:
The InstallShield Engine (iKernel.exe) could not be launched.
Class not registered.
I decided I couldn't really be bothered trying to fix it and wasn't all that interested in playing the game anyway so I decided to just uninstall it instead. When I tried to do that, however, I got this error:
There was a problem starting
C:/PROGRA~2/COMMON~1/INSTAL~1/engine/6/INTEL3~1/Ctor.dll
The specified module could not be found.
I've tried googling for solutions to this problem with no luck. I can't install/uninstall anything anymore and have no idea how to fix this problem. Can anyone shed any light on this?

Edit: System restore seems to have solved it.
